In the last Federal executive council the University was also represented because some members of the alumni were appointed ministers. the Senate also there are Unimaid alumni in numbers likewise in the House of Representatives including the member representing Fika / Fune Federal Constituency of Yobe State Hon. Barrister Bala Abubakar Ajeje , Barrister Their mungono (House of reps) , Satomi ( house of Reps Jere) etc
